French Beaches are a new and upcoming four piece alternative, indie pop band from South London.
The band began to properly release singles in the June of this year, releasing ‘Waiting’ as their debut track, which is a catchy five minute track full of juicy guitar lines and leaves you singing the chorus in your head for days after first hearing it. Since then, they have released three more singles, with many more to come in the future.
They have already started to gain an overwhelmingly good response, especially when you consider the fact that they have only been releasing music for a few months. Their listening stats are rising rapidly on the daily and this comes as no surprise. When you look at their social media, you are easily able to see the love that their tunes are already receiving just by reading the comments of praise and adoration.
French Beaches' music is purely infective and jangly, often baring resemblance to that of early work from The 1975 and Blossoms.
Their fun and lighthearted songs such as ‘Are We Dreaming’ and ‘Call Me Up’ leaves you with the inability to feel anything other than bliss and the desire to get up and dance.
It's difficult to not picture them playing massive outside gigs in the future whilst you jump around to their music with your friends. It is also evident to see that their music has been made for the inevitable festivals that they will one day be playing.
Over the weekend, French Beaches announced that their new single, I Don’t Wanna Talk’ will be released on Wednesday, the 19th of December (2018). If the music they’ve released so far is anything to go by then this will be another memorable tune, which provides another song for the perfect summer soundtrack.
You can see the cover art for ‘I Don’t Wanna Talk’ below, and hear it when it is released later on this week on their spotify.

The future looks bright for French Beaches and right now they're laying the foundations for a path of future success. 2019 looks to be the year of French Beaches and I for sure cannot wait to be seeing these lovely lads and their music everywhere.
